Dr. Siva Arumugam
Ph.D. in Electrochemistry | Co-Founder
Dr. Siva Arumugam is a multidisciplinary scientist with over 20 years of international experience in electrochemistry, nanomaterials, biosensors, and spectroscopy. He has held research positions in Germany, Poland, and Australia, contributing to advanced studies in electrochemistry research, plasmonic sensing, biomedical diagnostics, and environmental monitoring. His work has been published in leading journals and widely cited in the fields of electrochemical and spectroscopic analysis.
As Co-Founder and Director of ScienceGears, Dr. Arumugam leads product innovation and acts as a specialist consultant to university research groups and R&D teams in industry. He provides expert guidance on potentiostats, bipotentiostats, battery cyclers, electrochemical test setups, and spectroscopy platforms, including Raman, LIBS, and MIR systems, supporting advanced research in energy storage, corrosion, chemical sensing, and pharmaceutical analysis.

Dr. Kalai Govindasamy
Ph.D. in Raman Spectroscopy | Co-Founder
Dr. Kalai Govindasamy is a materials chemist and instrumentation specialist with over 15 years of experience in electrochemistry, Raman spectroscopy, and analytical chemistry. Her research career spans academic and technical roles across India, Germany, and Australia, contributing to developments in sensor systems, nanomaterials, and corrosion analysis. She earned her Ph.D. in Raman spectroscopy and has participated in projects involving both electrochemical and spectroscopic methods.
As Co-Founder and Director of ScienceGears, Dr. Govindasamy plays a key role in scientific strategy and operational management. She supports customers across Australia and New Zealand with high-performance solutions involving potentiostats, electrochemical cells, and spectroscopic instruments for energy, pharmaceutical, and materials research.
