Full-range field spectroradiometers combine multiple detector technologies to collect a continuous spectrum across a wider wavelength interval than compact VNIR instruments. This broader coverage can support studies of vegetation, moisture-related behaviour, soils, minerals and engineered materials where important absorption features extend into the shortwave infrared.
