IM7x
Next-generation modular potentiostat / galvanostat with integrated frequency response analyzer (FRA) — built for the most demanding electrochemical and photoelectrochemical research.
IM7x Highlights:
The IM7x is a flagship modular potentiostat / galvanostat featuring a built-in frequency response analyzer (FRA) capable of measurements from 10 µHz all the way up to 12 MHz. Engineered for uncompromising accuracy, it delivers 32-bit DC resolution and 24-bit AC resolution (HDP technology) across 12 selectable current ranges — positioning it among the most precise electrochemical instruments available today.
With a compliance voltage of ±32 V and a maximum current output of ±4 A, the IM7x handles a broad spectrum of electrochemical applications with ease. An ultra-high input impedance of more than 10 TΩ ‖ 5 pF ensures reliable measurement even on the most resistive or delicate samples. A minimum measurable current of ±125 fA makes it equally capable for ultra-low-current applications such as thin-film characterisation and trace electroanalysis.
The IM7x is operated via the intuitive Zahner Lab software or fully automated through the zahner_link API, which communicates over WebSocket connections using structured JSON objects. A C++ core with Python bindings makes scripting and remote control straightforward for both researchers and automation engineers.
Expandable with up to eight PAD4 addon cards — enabling simultaneous acquisition of up to 33 input channels — the IM7x adapts seamlessly to battery stack characterisation, fuel cell diagnostics, electrolyser testing, corrosion studies, and advanced photoelectrochemical research.
