TH6600 Series Bidirectional Programmable DC Power Supply

TH6600 Series Bidirectional Programmable DC Power Supply

The TH6600 Series is a bidirectional programmable DC power supply that integrates DC source and feedback electronic load functions in one platform. It is designed for applications where electrical energy must flow in both directions, such as battery charge/discharge testing, DC bus simulation, inverter validation, regenerative power electronics and energy-storage research.

In source mode, the system delivers controlled DC voltage or current to a device under test. In load mode, it absorbs energy from the device and can return energy to the electrical system, depending on installation and operating conditions. This helps reduce heat dissipation compared with conventional dissipative loading in suitable high-power workflows.

Key Features

  • Bidirectional DC source and electronic load operation.
  • Manufacturer-listed model classes up to 1500 V and 360 A.
  • Power classes: 5 kW, 10 kW and 15 kW.
  • Energy return efficiency listed up to 92.5%.
  • Wide AC input range: 360-528 VAC.
  • CV, CC, CR and CP functions in both source and load modes.
  • High power-density 3U, 19-inch chassis design.
  • Expandable high-power operation through parallel configuration.
  • Built-in function generator for programmable test profiles.
  • Communication interfaces include RS232, USB Host, USB Device, LAN and GPIB.
  • Hardware protection functions including OVP, OCP, OPP and OTP.

Typical Applications

The TH6600 Series is suitable for battery module and pack testing, inverter and converter validation, DC bus simulation, electric vehicle component studies, solar photovoltaic simulation, LED testing, clean-energy research, automated device integration and production-line validation.

Compatibility and Integration

The TH6600 Series can be integrated with power meters, battery test systems, environmental chambers, data acquisition systems and custom ScienceGears high-power test fixtures. It is particularly useful where separate DC power supply and electronic load hardware would increase system complexity.

Why Choose ScienceGears

ScienceGears helps Australian and New Zealand laboratories assess whether a bidirectional DC supply is more suitable than separate source and load instruments. We can support voltage, current, power, regenerative operation, safety, cabling, communication interface and integration planning for battery, energy-storage and power-electronics workflows.
