E-AL Three-dimensional porous aluminum foil
E-AL Three-Dimensional Porous Aluminium Foil (≥99.95% Al)
E-AL three-dimensional (3D) porous aluminium foil is a high-purity current collector designed for lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, and other electrochemical energy-storage systems that undergo frequent charge–discharge cycling. Compared with conventional flat aluminium foil, the engineered porous surface increases effective surface area and provides a more mechanically “anchored” interface for coating adhesion.
Working principle
The 3D porous architecture promotes improved contact between the active material layer and the current collector. This can reduce interfacial resistance, support more uniform current distribution, and improve coating integrity during repeated cycling or high-rate operation. The porous structure can also help accommodate mechanical stress from electrode swelling/shrinkage, supporting stable electrochemical behaviour over time.
