Dual Workstation Inert Atmosphere Glove Box

Dual Workstation Inert Atmosphere Glove Box

This dual workstation inert atmosphere glove box is designed for handling air- and moisture-sensitive materials under a continuously purified inert gas environment. Its closed-loop gas circulation system removes oxygen and water vapour through an integrated purification column, helping maintain a working atmosphere below 1 ppm for both H₂O and O₂. This makes the system suitable for demanding laboratory workflows where material degradation, parasitic reactions, or contamination must be minimised.

Key Features and Construction

The system provides two side-by-side working stations within a large 2440 × 750 × 900 mm glove box body, allowing parallel sample handling or collaborative operation. The chamber is built from 3 mm acid-resistant 304 stainless steel and includes a safety glass front window, POM glove ports with double O-ring sealing, butyl gloves, internal stainless shelves, dust filtration, and electrical feedthroughs. A large antechamber and a smaller transition chamber support efficient sample transfer while reducing atmosphere disturbance.

Typical specifications include:

  • Main chamber: 2440 × 750 × 900 mm
  • Main antechamber: 360 mm diameter × 600 mm length
  • Small transition chamber: 150 mm diameter × 300 mm length
  • Circulation blower: 90 m³/h
  • Rotary vane vacuum pump: 8 m³/h
  • PLC touch-screen control with automatic purging, regeneration, and pressure management
  • Working pressure control around ±10 mbar with automatic protection beyond ±12 mbar
  • Organic solvent adsorption support for electrolyte-rich workflows

Applications and Research Use

This glove box is well suited to lithium-ion, sodium-ion, solid-state battery, supercapacitor, perovskite, catalyst, and air-sensitive chemical research. It can be integrated into broader ScienceGears workflows alongside battery cyclers, potentiostats, electrochemical cells, vacuum ovens, coating systems, and materials preparation tools. ScienceGears adds value through local technical guidance, application-focused support, and help selecting compatible research instruments for advanced electrochemistry and battery testing laboratories.
