PTFE Polytetrafluoroethylene Liquid PTFE Fluoroplastic Dispersion
PTFE Battery Binder Dispersion (Polytetrafluoroethylene, PTFE)
PTFE is a liquid PTFE fluoroplastic dispersion designed as a binder for battery anode or cathode matrices, and is also suitable for supercapacitor electrode fabrication. PTFE (–CF₂–CF₂–)ₙ is chemically inert and thermally stable, making it valuable where electrode cohesion and durability are critical.
Working mechanism
This product is an aqueous dispersion of sub-micron PTFE particles stabilised by surfactants. During electrode processing, PTFE particles distribute through the solids network and, upon drying and mechanical working (e.g., mixing/calendering), can form a reinforcing, fibre-like framework that improves particle-to-particle cohesion and adhesion to current collectors. The PTFE network can also help tune hydrophobicity and gas/electrolyte transport pathways, which is useful in porous electrodes and catalyst layers.
