AFMY-200 Automatic Filling Machine
AFMY-200 Automatic Pouch Cell Filling Machine
Automated electrolyte filling for pouch cell production
The AFMY-200 Automatic Pouch Cell Filling Machine is designed for automated electrolyte dosing, vacuum holding and vacuum pre-sealing of laminated pouch cells in battery research and pilot-scale manufacturing. In lithium-ion cell production, electrolyte filling and wetting are quality-critical steps because the liquid must penetrate porous electrodes and separator layers uniformly to support low resistance, stable formation behaviour and reproducible cell performance. Vacuum-assisted filling helps improve wetting and can shorten soaking time, while weight checks before and after filling support process control.
Key features and technical highlights
The AFMY-200 integrates barcode scanning, weighing before filling, automatic electrolyte injection, vacuum holding, vacuum sealing, weighing after filling and automatic discharge handling in one conveyor-based workflow. Official published specifications include AC220V single-phase input, 10 kW power, 0.6 MPa compressed air, output up to 6 ppm, 350 m³/h vacuum flow, and suitability for pouch cells approximately 130–285 mm long, 100–170 mm wide and 8–11 mm thick. The vacuum holding box is adjustable from 1–99 s to around -95 kPa, while the pre-sealing section offers an 8 mm seal width, 300 mm sealing head length, maximum 260 °C sealing temperature, ±0.02 mm head parallelism and -90 kPa vacuum degree.
Compatibility and applications
This system is well suited to pouch cell R&D lines, pilot manufacturing, electrolyte process optimisation and repeatable pre-sealing prior to downstream formation and degassing. It is especially relevant for laboratories and manufacturers working with lithium-ion polymer cells and related laminated energy-storage formats where filling consistency, traceability and reduced manual variation matter.
Why choose ScienceGears Australia
ScienceGears can help researchers and engineering teams configure the AFMY-200 within a broader pouch-cell workflow, alongside related equipment such as electrode coaters, stackers, vacuum sealing systems, formation testers and battery cyclers. This makes it easier to build a practical, end-to-end battery testing and manufacturing setup with locally relevant technical guidance.
