Aluminium Foam
Aluminium Foam Current Collector (Al) Sheet – 10 mm (1 mm Aperture)
AI-F-10 aluminium foam is a high-porosity, open-cell metal foam supplied as a sheet for advanced battery and electrochemistry research. Unlike flat aluminium foil, the 3D interconnected network provides a large surface area and continuous electron pathways, supporting high areal loading electrodes and improving electrolyte access through the structure.
How it works (principle)
The open-cell aluminium framework acts as a conductive scaffold (current collector/substrate). Active materials, catalyst layers, or metal deposits can be coated, infiltrated, or grown into the porous network, enabling reduced interfacial resistance and improved mass transport compared with dense substrates.
Key specifications
- Model: AI-F-10
