Titanium Foam Sheet

Ti-F Titanium Foam Sheet (0.5 mm, 100 µm aperture)

Titanium Foam Sheet is a porous, sintered titanium material designed for electrochemical and process applications that benefit from high surface area, fluid permeability, and corrosion resistance. The open pore structure promotes efficient mass transport and can act as a flow-through electrode or porous substrate where gas evolution and electrolyte access are critical.

How it works

Titanium foam increases the effective electroactive area compared with flat metal foils. The interconnected pores support rapid electrolyte penetration, more uniform current distribution (in many setups), and improved removal of evolved gases. This makes it well-suited for electrolysis, electrocatalysis supports, and filtration-style electrochemical architectures.

Key specifications (typical)

  • Colour: light grey
  • Sheet size: 220 mm × 300 mm (custom sizes available)
  • Thickness: 0.5 mm
  • Nominal aperture (pore size): 100 µm
  • Temperature resistance: up to 280 °C (typical rating)
  • Compressive strength: 0.5–1.5 MPa (typical range)

Compatibility and use cases

Commonly used as:

  • Porous electrolysis electrodes and current-distribution substrates
  • High-surface-area supports for electrocatalyst coatings
  • Flow-through components in electrochemical cells and R&D prototypes
  • Porous metal media in laboratory filtration and gas/liquid handling trials
