Description

This flat corrosion cell accommodates planar metal coupons for standard corrosion techniques, with a clear borosilicate glass chamber and chemically resistant PTFE/stainless components. A multi-port top supports straightforward placement of reference and counter electrodes, plus an optional gas inlet or thermowell. The geometry is optimised for reproducible current paths in DC polarisation and EIS, and kits commonly include a flat-coupon holder and inert counter (e.g., Pt mesh/graphite). Typical operating temperatures extend to around 100 °C, depending on seal and component choices, making the cell suitable for inhibitor screening, pitting/crevice studies, and general corrosion rate measurements.
