In pouch cell fabrication, the aluminium-laminated case edge must be folded in a controlled and repeatable manner to improve package uniformity, reduce sharp edge exposure, and prepare the cell for downstream sealing or finishing steps.

Principle of Operation

This machine uses a pneumatically driven folding mechanism and a 200 mm folding blade to apply controlled pressure along the case edge. The folding width is adjustable, allowing the operator to match the folding profile to different pouch formats and process requirements. A foot-switch-controlled operation supports stable, repeatable manual loading and actuation in laboratory and pilot-scale battery workflows.
