In-situ Raman Spectroelectrochemical Cell – REC 03
In-situ Raman Spectroelectrochemical Cell – REC 03
In-situ Raman Spectroelectrochemical Cell for Real-Time Interface Studies
The In-situ Raman Spectroelectrochemical Cell – REC 03 is designed for researchers who need to combine electrochemical control with Raman spectroscopy in a compact, chemically resistant platform. It enables real-time monitoring of molecular and interfacial changes at the electrode surface while electrochemical reactions are taking place. This makes REC 03 a practical tool for studying reaction pathways, surface intermediates, film formation, catalyst behaviour, and other dynamic electrochemical processes.
Principle of Operation
REC 03 functions as a three-electrode spectroelectrochemical cell with optical access through a quartz window. During operation, the sample is polarised using a potentiostat or galvanostat while Raman spectra are collected directly from the electrode region of interest. The adjustable distance between the working surface and the optical window helps improve experimental flexibility by allowing better optimisation of focus, signal intensity, and electrolyte layer geometry.
Standard Included Items
The standard REC 03 cell kit includes:
- 1 × PTFE cell body
- 1 × Quartz optical window
- 1 × Glassy carbon working electrode (WE), Ø5 mm
