Nafion 115 Proton Exchange Membrane
Nafion 115 Proton Exchange Membrane – 127 µm
Overview
Nafion 115 is a perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) proton exchange membrane with a nominal thickness of 127 µm, designed for PEM fuel cells, PEM electrolysers, and laboratory electrochemical cells. Its fully fluorinated backbone provides excellent chemical resistance, while the sulfonic acid groups enable high proton conductivity when hydrated.
Working principle
Under hydrated conditions, the membrane selectively transports H⁺ ions from anode to cathode while acting as a gas separator. This allows efficient electrochemical reactions without reactant crossover.
