Nafion 211 Proton Exchange Membrane

Overview

Nafion 211 is an ultra-thin PFSA membrane (≈25.4 µm) aimed at high-power-density PEM fuel cells and applications where low ohmic loss is essential.

Principle
By reducing thickness, the ionic path length is shorter, so membrane resistance decreases, improving cell voltage at high current densities. Proper hydration and mechanical support are therefore important.
