The JS-100L Hot Roller Press Machine is a compact, bench-friendly calender designed to densify and smooth coated electrode sheets under controlled heat and rolling pressure. In battery R&D, calendering is a critical post-coating step used to improve particle-to-particle contact, reduce porosity, enhance adhesion to the current collector, and tune electrode thickness—helping researchers optimise ionic/electronic transport and overall cell performance.

How it works

Two hardened steel rollers rotate at a controlled speed while the roller gap is adjusted to set the target thickness. Integrated heating (ambient to 130 °C) supports hot rolling, which can improve binder flow and reduce cracking in thicker or higher-loading electrodes.
