The ZBQ Multi-Groove Coating Device is a manual, 4-sided wet film applicator designed to spread battery slurries, inks, paints, or functional coatings into uniform films on flat substrates (e.g., Al/Cu foil, glass, polymer sheets). It provides fixed, repeatable wet-film thickness settings via precision-machined grooves—ideal for producing consistent electrode coatings for coin cell and pouch cell R&D.

How it works

During coating, the applicator is placed on the substrate and drawn smoothly across the surface. The selected groove (film gap) meters the slurry volume, producing a defined wet thickness that supports controlled downstream drying and calendaring.
