GC700 Semi-auto Cylindrical Battery Grooving Machine
GC700 Semi-auto Cylindrical Battery Grooving Machine (18650/21700/26650)
The GC700 Semi-auto Cylindrical Battery Grooving Machine is designed to form precise roll-grooves on steel-shell cylindrical battery cans used in common formats such as 18650, 21700 and 26650. In cylindrical cell assembly, controlled grooving helps achieve repeatable mechanical fit and sealing geometry, supporting stable downstream operations (e.g., cap placement, crimping/sealing workflows, and consistent cell-to-cell build quality).
Working principle
A driven grooving/rolling tool (knife) forms a circumferential groove on the can by controlled mechanical deformation. Operators set the groove geometry, then the machine performs repeatable rolling to the specified dimensions with consistent pressure and alignment. Pneumatic supply supports stable actuation during grooving.
