The LB-FT02 Magnetic De-Ironing Filter is a compact laboratory filtration system designed to improve electrode slurry quality before coating. In battery manufacturing and R&D, trace ferromagnetic contamination (e.g., iron wear particles from mixing media, tooling, or handling) can accelerate side reactions and increase defect risk. This system combines high-gradient magnetic separation with mesh filtration to help deliver a cleaner, more stable slurry for consistent electrode casting.

Working principle

Slurry is passed through strong magnetic rods that capture ferromagnetic particles, then through a mesh filter to remove larger particulates and agglomerates. This two-step approach supports:

  • Reduced metallic contamination in cathode/anode slurries
  • Improved coating uniformity and fewer coating defects
  • Better repeatability in lab-scale formulation and scale-up trials
