Laboratory Vacuum Mixer

Laboratory Vacuum Mixer

Laboratory Vacuum Mixer (ZKJB-02, 1 L Working Volume)

The ZKJB-02 Laboratory Vacuum Mixer is a compact, lab-scale vacuum mixing system designed for preparing high-quality anode and cathode slurries for lithium-ion battery research. By combining controlled shear mixing with vacuum deaeration, it helps minimise entrained gas, improving coating quality, wetting behaviour, and electrode uniformity—critical for reproducible electrochemical testing.

Principle of operation

During mixing, the slurry is agitated in a sealed stainless-steel vessel while vacuum assists in removing air bubbles introduced during powder wetting and binder dispersion. Speed is regulated via an inverter drive, and the system allows programmable control of mixing speed, duration, and rotation direction to support both gentle blending and higher-shear dispersion workflows.

Key features and specifications

  • Power / electrical: 750 W; AC 110/220 V, 50/60 Hz
  • Mixing speed: 0–1400 r/min (inverter-controlled)
  • Working volume: 1 L standard (customisable 1–10 L on request)
  • Mixing vessel size: Ø125 mm × 200 mm (H)
  • Mixing time: 0–99 h programmable
  • Heating setpoint: 0–80 °C adjustable
  • Dimensions (H × L × W): 600 × 500 × 300 mm; Weight: ~90 kg
  • Stainless-steel vessel with water-cooling capability for temperature stability
  • Manual lift/handle wheel for vessel handling without requiring compressed air

Compatibility and applications

Ideal for battery electrode slurries (e.g., graphite, silicon, NMC/NCA/LFP systems), ceramic suspensions, and other viscous dispersions requiring low-bubble mixing. Pairs well with related workflows such as electrode coating, vacuum drying, calendaring, and downstream testing using potentiostats or battery cyclers.
