QF650 Pneumatic Cylindrical Battery Sealing Machine
QF650 Pneumatic Cylindrical Battery Sealing Machine
The QF650 Pneumatic Cylindrical Battery Sealing Machine is a compressed-gas operated sealing tool designed for laboratory-scale assembly of cylindrical Li-ion cells and cylindrical supercapacitors. It is widely used for research sample preparation and small-batch trial production where consistent, repeatable can sealing is required.
Principle of operation
The system uses regulated pneumatic pressure to drive a vertical sealing stroke and crimp the can/cap assembly with dedicated sealing dies. Manual valve control enables the operator to apply a stable sealing force while maintaining process repeatability for sensitive electrochemistry workflows.
Key specifications and features
- Gas source: 0.6–0.8 MPa argon/nitrogen cylinder or compressed air (compressed air not recommended inside gloveboxes)
- Exhaust port: designed for external connection (e.g., KF40 interface)
- Gas consumption: ~480 mL per seal
- Sealing pressure: manual control; max 1 MPa, recommended 0.7 MPa; accuracy ~±0.5%
- Sealing stroke: 30 mm
- Dies: standard 18650 die set; optional dies commonly available for 21700/26650/32650/32700 formats
- Size / weight: approx. L290 × W205 × H330 mm; ~35 kg
Typical applications
- Cylindrical cell prototyping (e.g., 18650 and optional larger formats)
- Supercapacitor can sealing
- Academic and industrial R&D battery testing workflows (paired with potentiostats, battery cyclers, and glovebox assembly lines)
