VS-50A Ultrasonic Spot Welding Machine
VS-50A Ultrasonic Spot Welding Machine (Cylindrical Cell Tab-to-Cap)
The VS-50A Ultrasonic Spot Welding Machine is designed for fast, solid-state tab-to-cap joining in cylindrical cell assembly. It is commonly used to weld aluminium tabs to aluminium caps for formats such as 18650, 21700, and 32650 (cell size-specific fixtures are required). Ultrasonic welding enables reliable electrical and mechanical joints with minimal heat input—helpful when working near sealed components and heat-sensitive materials.
Working principle
Ultrasonic metal welding uses high-frequency mechanical vibration and controlled clamping force to break surface oxides and create intimate metal-to-metal contact. The bond forms through interfacial friction and plastic deformation rather than bulk melting, supporting consistent joints and reduced thermal damage compared with many fusion-based methods. An automatic frequency tracking function helps maintain stable operation without constant manual tuning.
